Summer Blooms

One of the things that I am hugely inspired by is nature. Whether it be the ocean, the mountains, the trees, flowers, birds, animals, etc., I crave the inspiration that nature is. Fortunately, I live in Northern California where just about anything you can think of, nature-wise, is readily available or a short distance away. Something I love to do, is bring a little nature inside with me. It seems to comfort my soul somehow {I would really love it if I could live outside...in a tent...until it gets cold...I used to love sleeping outside in the summer when I was a kid in Oregon, but I digress}. Summer blooms are really rocking my world right now as they seem to do this time of year. Roses, succulents, and other blooms of deep and light colors. I am endlessly fascinated by the process by which they open their and unfurl themselves. Take a look at just a few I've managed to bring inside below:

Aren't roses gorgeous? I love their papery petals!

Such a deep, bold color

OK, these are outside, but I couldn't resist including them because I enjoy seeing them from my window.
