There are always bridges in life that we can decide whether or not to cross.
I was walking along Fossil Hill Trail and came across this sweet robin just singing away. Lately, when I walk the trails, I find myself surrounded by birdsong. And so many varieties that when I stop and just listen, I'm surprised by the variety and the sheer volume!
I often renew my spirit along the trails. There is something about being in nature with the plants and birds and animals that brings me back to myself.
While walking in Diablo Hills I met a Tree Man. He seemed quite friendly and jovial and gave me some shade. He welcomed the birds into his branches and seemed to chuckle and the breezes that ruffled his leaves. Before I continued on, I asked if I could take his picture and he happily obliged and thanked me for stopping to visit. There are close ups of his face and toes below.
